With the remnants of material left over from the Cat blanket, I cut out some cat head shapes and stitched together. I stuffed...nay...rammed them with wadding and tons of super strength catnip. One of my cats is going berserk kicking this toy about already. Simple things!

Cat Blanket
I picked up a quarter yard of this bright cat fabric for 99p so I had to make something with it. Here is a basic blanket for the cats box. It has wadding running through the centre and a red fleece backing. Once I flipped it back to the right way round and closed up the turning opening, I then over stitched the outside to make the wadding more secure.

Betty Bunny Toy
I tried to make a bunny ready for Easter using some brown corduroy and fabric scraps that I had left over. I made up my own pattern. I lined some flower fabric with iron on lining to make it stiffer. Cut out a heart, hands, feet and ears and secured onto the corduroy with satin stitch. I will add a pink bow made of ribbon once I have purchased some. I quite like him accept his legs need to be fatter...but never mind.

Owl Toy
Here I made a Owl toy using my own pattern. I used child safe googly eyes and white ric rac to edge the wings. He does look like he needs a bow around his neck, however as this is for a young child, I did not want to have too much detail on it in case it causes damage when playing.
Pink Elephant Squeak Toy
Here I made a pink elephant squeak toy using my own pattern. I used retro print material and contrasting pink felt for the inner ear and heart applique. The eyes are plain black and child safe. I also purchased a small squeaker which I placed inside the elephant so that when you press the heart, the toy squeaks. I used some scrap wool to plait and make a tail.

Russian Doll Hot Water Bottle
I made my own pattern for this one. I tried to attempt to make it look like a Russian Doll. I hand stitched the face using embroidery thread and scrap felt. Made her dress and scarf by using a small print flower fabric and plain red fabric for the head. I sewed ribbon and ric rac to her outfit for more detail. I left a folded opening at the back of the doll to insert the hot water bottle and the inside is lined with red fleece. I was kinda pleased how it turned out.

Coin Purse - Cherry Print
I was asked if I could make a coin purse for a friend at work and she is in to anything with cherries print, so I made this. I stitched the material and red felt together, turned inside out and sewed up the opening. I then top stitched the edges and neatened the end with a row of red ric rac trimming. I then turned itself into eachother and top stitched over my previous top stitches at the sides. Finished off with a popper fastening and a red button on the top of the popper to cover the stitches.
